First Timer, Old Timer

Whether it's your 1st or 15th, we're glad you're here! Your hosts, Frank and Darlene Barney (Brushwood Folklore Center) and the Chameleon Club (A.C.E.) are bustin' butt to make this a fantastic festival for all!

Some tips to help you on your journey:

SAFETY & SECURITY:

Our rules are few but very important. Please abide by them, be smart about your belongings, know your neighbors, wear your I.D. pendant, report any suspicious activity to Security, and PLAY SAFE. Your co-attendees count on you!

CAMPING AREAS: Roped off areas have a purpose - please respect them. Yes, the drums DO usually go all night long! We recommend lighters sleepers/earlier retirees try the top of the road.

THE SKY-CLAD EXPERIENCE: You'll be surprised how quickly you get used to it! Relax, enjoy the freedom, and wear good sun block, especially on parts of the body that rarely see the light of day! Don't work, build fires or go hiking skyclad. Wear protective clothes where appropriate. You'll thank yourself later. And remember - if you don't wanna you don't gotta.

INFO SOURCES: For 1st timers, we suggest the Wednesday Orientation Workshop. Other sources: this program guide; info tent & boards; roving Heralds and the A.C.E. Sales Area.

HELP US!!!: As our huge event progresses, your 2-HOUR VOLUNTEER SHIFT becomes ever more critical. PLEASE show up at your scheduled place and time, dressed to work. If you want to help more, the Gods will smile upon you! RECYCLING: If we don't all do it daily, we'll be smothered in smelly cans by Sunday! Help make it not so!

PARENTS AND KIDS: Most parents are great, but past problems force us to include this section. We offer safe play areas and kid's programming. But the festival at large isn't your babysitter! Parents who don't behave responsibly face expulsion. Know your kids' whereabouts, retrieve them from Child Care at scheduled times, and PLEASE assist in the kid-specific areas. THE POOL IS THE ONLY SUPERVISED SWIMMING AREA!

HEALTH STUFF: First Aid Supplies are always available at the centrally located First-Aid tent. When staffed, it's by volunteer "Good Samaritans" not a substitute for qualified medical treatment. Licensed physicians are at the nearby local hospital. You can access the EMS system for emergencies - A.C.E. or Brushwood can assist. On "Healers' Row" you'll find people from a wide range of healing disciplines (massage, herbs, oils, etc.) Its offerings are not officially sanctioned by A.C.E., Brushwood or Starwood personnel.

BLESSED BE AND HAVE A GREAT TIME!
