There are many notable natural features in the area including scenic Paname Rocks, only minutes from Starwood - panamarocks.com Here's a quick map of the area, but use maps.yahoo.com or mapquest.com for local navigation. The red star indicates Sherman, NY, and the two major roads used to get to most attractions are 430 (main street through Sherman) and Interstate 86, which you probably used to get there in the first place. 430 curves around the far side of the lake, and 394 is the route following the west side of the Lake. From Sherman to the Chautaqua Bridge (I-86) is about 15 minutes. For more about what Chautauqua has to offer, check out the Chautauqua County Visitors Bureau Web Site. |
