Theodore Nestor

Theodore Nestor has studied with the Tri-C Djembe Orchestra and Afro-Cuban Ensemble, and with the Kent State African Music Ensemble. He has hosted the Drum Jam at the Hermits Hollow in the Metroparks of Bedford, Ohio and hosted the Kent State Drum Jam at the Electric Community Center in Kent, Ohio.

Learning African Rhythms

A chance to learn some African Rhythms that are different from those taught by most teachers around the drumming and festival scene. He'll focus on two rhythms from Ghana and Senegal and work at the students pace. We would then use these rhythms at the Round House through out the week to get the drumming going.
