Paul Ravenscraft
Paul Ravenscraft began his training in spiritual technologies over 30 years
ago, and was soon creating and implementing original rites of
self-transformation. An early association with Louis Martinie' (New Orleans
Voodoo Spiritual Temple and Black Moon Publishing) influenced his use of
drums and sounds in spiritual facilitation. Over the last decade, he has
contributed as a drummer, instrumentalist, vocalist and songwriter to
several groups and is currently a member of the Middle Eastern Fusion band
Snakes Rising ( www.snakesrising.com). Paul is a contributor to the "Magic on the Edge" Anthology, edited by Taylor
Ellwood (Immanion Press, 2007); his work titled "Elemental Workings for
Personal Balance" is the basis for his workshop offering on this subject.
Trained in specific shamanic techniques and healing technologies, Paul is
constantly developing these into an experiential framework for assisting
others. A personal/professional coach specializing in adults with ADD
(ADDCoaching.com), he is currently working towards certification as a
massage therapist and is certified as a teacher and mentor of Ipsalu Tantra
Kriya Yoga. Paul has received training and mentoring from several
accomplished teachers of this system, including Bodhi Avinasha, who co-wrote
the contemporary classic tantric text "Jewel in the Lotus" with Sunyata
Saraswati and "The Ipsalu Formula - A Method for TantraBliss". Paul has a
Bachelor of Science degree in Natural Sciences from the University of
Cincinnati and a Masters in Business Administration from Xavier University.
Tantra: An Emerging Paradigm for Our Times
Tantra means "liberation through expansion". Tantric Kriya Yoga is an ancient Art and Science that clears the way for us to experience expanded states of consciousness and bliss in the here and now. It is clearly aligned with many other forces of transformation in the world today, providing a consistent paradigm through which to view this change. The facilitator is a certified teacher of Ipsalu Tantra Kriya Yoga, receiving training and mentoring from several accomplished teachers of this system, including Bodhi Avinasha, who co-wrote the contemporary classic tantric text "Jewel in the Lotus" with Sunyata Saraswati and authored "The Ipsalu Formula - A Method for TantraBliss". Explore the possibility of Living in Bliss...the expansion of consciousness, heart, and sexual energy.
Elemental Workings for Personal Balance
The Five Elements represent a familiar model for describing ourselves and our experiences in the world. As individuals, we may identify more strongly with one or more of these elements than with the others. What if I find myself too flighty, too pushy or too wishy-washy in dealing with others? Are there simple tools and techniques that are available to bring the parts of myself into balance? We will explore synergies between intention, affirmation, invocation, assumption of godforms, adoption of magickal names and personas, and creation and use of sigils for associating with an element and its attributes. The facilitator is a contributor to the "Magic on the Edge" Anthology, edited by Taylor Ellwood (Immanion Press, 2007). His work in that anthology provides much of the basis for this workshop.
