Jonathan Dickau

Jonathan Dickau is both a seeker and a seer, or visionary. He has been seeking for most of his life, to discover and explore pathways to the extraordinary, which unite the realm of the Magical and the Miraculous with what we know from Science and Mathematics. His work has recently been published in the academic journals "Quantum Biosystems" and "Entropy," and he will be presenting at the Crisis in Cosmology Conference this Fall.

A true Renaissance man, Jonathan is a Composer, Musician, Engineer, and Producer, as well as a Writer, Physicist, and Philosopher. A veteran of many Starwoods, he has been active in the Taoist Community, and is a Unitarian Universalist, he was a member of the Church of All Worlds, and is a teacher in the Order of Melchizedek. He is also a nagual Seer/Sorcerer, who has studied the emanations of the Eagle in great detail. He has served on the Executive Committee of the Center for Symbolic Studies. Jonathan is the chief Technical Wizard at Diverse Productions in Poughkeepsie, NY, a small recording studio and multimedia house, and a Vocal Coach for several promising new artists. He has been working extensively with Folk legend Pete Seeger, and a number of guest artists, to finish a 3-CD set which will accompany the new edition of his book "Where Have All the Flowers Gone?", and another new album coming out on Appleseed Records "Pete Seeger at Eighty Nine."

Ascension has become a popular topic these days, being a featured element of New Age novels like the "Celestine" books, science Fiction such as Stargate on TV, and a host of other works. The idea of ascending through layers or levels of being has been a part of various esoteric traditions since ancient times, however, and numerous encounters with ascended beings can be found in all the magical and religious traditions. Jonathan discusses the process of ascension, the various kinds of ascended beings, and the ways ritual and contemplation help us to connect, evolve, and ascend. There is an emphasis here on how we can do that safely, and make clear progress toward our spiritual and magical goals. Ascension is something everyone must deal with, upon their passing, but there is great value to learning all we can know about the process, and beginning to ascend consciously, before the death of our physical body. In addition; whatever steps we take toward ascension contribute to our ability to make the world a better place, or to make meaningful changes in our lives. As we become lighter, there is less to hold us back, and more energy to realize the fulfillment of our goals.

Quantum Holographic Fractal Universe

Quantum Mechanics describes a view of reality that is downright magical, as has been popularized in movies like What the Bleep? and presented in books and programs like The Elegant Universe. Holograms are a way to encode 3-d objects onto 2-dimensional film, and they are also a great metaphor for much more that is both scientifically significant, and again quite magical. Fractals are abstract mathematical objects that reside magical realm between the whole numbered dimensions, but it seems that the real universe is full of them, from mountains and clouds to the distribution of galaxies, forms in the real world are fractals. What we don't see in nature are circles, squares, and other regular figures explored in ordinary geometry. Fractal geometry, holograms, and quantum mechanics can greatly expand our world-view, and they allow us to more accurately represent what is real. Though Jonathan will touch on a variety of technical subjects, this lecture will be light-hearted, relatively non-technical, and fun!
