Celtic Sorcery

Presented by Ian Corrigan.

The lore of the Druids was, in many ways, a priestly lore focused on public rites and maintaining right order. Yet within the patterns of public ritual and personal spirituality lie the secrets of practical magic, of the Druid sorcerer of the forest, the dealer in spells. This talk examines the patterns of both theurgic and practical magic specific to Celtic, and especially Irish, magical lore. Including: vocabulary of Celtic magic; seeking power; making alliances; private ritual forms; trance vision and inner voyaging; forms of Celtic spellbinding; dealings with the sidhe.
