Satayana

Satayana, originally from London, England, has trodden the pagan path for 25 years and is a warm and gifted teacher. She possesses 25 years experience in energywork and holistic counseling, specializing in Usui & Karuna Reiki tm for the past 20 years. She is a Third Degree Reiki teacher, certified through three different schools. She is founder of a Reiki school & cooperative in NE Pennsylvania, providing all levels of Reiki training at local colleges, hospitals, and wellness centers and is a regular speaker on Reiki at several east coast pagan gatherings. She is the only Reiki teacher in the region to have been endorsed by hospitals to teach Reiki to medical personnel and given clinic space to provide Reiki sessions to patients. She has taught free Reiki Level I classes at Starwood for the past two years, and is happy to return to train and attune others to this simple yet powerful form of healing. When not teaching, she enjoys exploring her creativity and sharing 80 acres of woods and pastures with her consort, where together they raise organic vegetables, fruits and free-range hens for themselves and friends.

Reiki Level I (Beginner) Class - Part One

No max # of attendance - all welcome to attend! Experience Reiki ("pronounced Ray-Key") - a powerful form of Japanese gentle touch energywork that can be used on oneself and others to relieve pain, soothe stress, and enhance wellbeing. When taught as originally intended, Reiki is unique in that it is not a technique-driven or faith based system, and is therefore a simple, safe & ego-less form that even a child can learn and use! This is achieved through the unique Reiki attunement (see Part Two workshop) - a process that allows anyone to experience a stronger "ki" flow through their bodies and hands. Learn Reiki's origins, nature, and applications both as a healing art and magickal tool, and witness what it can do for pain! This class qualifies you to take the Part Two workshop where you will receive the necessary attunement to initiate the stronger "ki" flow required to perform Reiki yourself and others with ease, and become certified as a Level I practitioner.

Reiki Level I (Beginner) Class - Part Two

Max 15 people - sign up sheet at the Information Booth - the first 15 names guaranteed attendance at Part Two.

Attendance at Part One is required to attend this workshop. Max of 15 attendees: a sign-up sheet will be available at the information booth. A $3 fee covers your manual and certificate mailed flat suitable for framing. Optional: Bring a folding chair to share, if you have one. In this workshop you will receive the necessary attunement to initiate the stronger "ki" flow required to perform Reiki on yourself and others with ease. This workshop qualifies you to be certified as a Level I practitioner and to progress to Level II (Intermediate) training if you choose.
