David Doersch

David Doersch has been leading rituals at some of the largest Pagan gatherings in America for over 20 years. He is both a professor of Theatre and the founder & lead singer of Coyote Run. His particular interest lies in the origins of both ritual and drama, and how the inclusion of dramatic elements increases the emotional power of ritual.

When Thespis Stepped Forth

Drama and ritual stem from the same source in the psyche and in our cultural history. In this workshop, we examine the moment at which these two siblings split apart, and how to bring useful elements of them back together again. Drama can, and should, enrich our spiritual practice, and can deepen the emotional and spiritual experience enormously.
