Afro-Cuban Percussion

This workshop includes instruction in the Afro Cuban technique of claves, maracas, guiro, cow bell, and congas. The ancient styles that are used on these instruments have influenced the course of American music for hundreds of years. I can illustrate African, Native American and Spanish contributions to the development of these instruments and some of their useful spiritual applications as well. Definitely suitable for kids!
