Karen Small

Karen Small took her first yoga class over 14 years ago, and has been teaching Ashtanga-based yoga for 12 years, a form which integrates the whole body with special emphasis on breath and posture. She has her 200 Hour Registered Yoga Teacher certificate through Namaste and Center for Yoga in Michigan. She's a member of The Yoga Alliance, and continues to take workshops and attend yoga conferences throughout the United States. Through her journey of experimentation and self observation on her mat, she seeks to learn more about this ancient science.

Yoga for Every Body

Come As You Are, and awaken the healing power of breath and the sensuality of being-allowing the heart and spirit to find true alliance. By the way of breath, this moving meditation yoga class brings a beautiful balance of intensity and grace, and allows one's own healing powers to take over. This form of Hatha yoga uses the complete yoga breath with closed eyes, or a dristi to focus attention inward. The combination of breath and focused attention brings great ease to the body, as it releases tension that is often the root cause of illness.
