We all enjoy our travels in the realms of Magic and Psychedelia, appreciate our studies of the amazing variety in these pursuits throughout world cultures, and warm ourselves at the fires of the many faiths which sustain our spirits on our individual paths. But can we bring these energies into our lives to make them better, and can we utilize them in a positive way in the real world? Can we effect a change? Can we make a difference? Empowerment isn't just a New-Age "buzz word"; it is one of the main reasons we embarked on our journey. There is much work to do, and in the doing lies a recreation and refreshment of the spirit. To wield the wand, the sword, the pen, the tool, is to assume personal responsibility for the way things are and can be, to accept the active role of the Crafter of our lives and of the world. You can make your unique contribution to the Whole, and make yourself whole by your working. Perhaps one Magical act seems small, a tiny spark in the frigid woods, a twinkle in a vast ebony sky. But a tiny spark can be fanned to a roaring blaze, a fire that can swallow a forest. And each twinkling star in the Winter sky is in reality a nuclear furnace of immense proportions, a Forge of Transformation, whose very light can travel billions of miles to inspire us, to light a magic candle in our mirrored hearts. |
