We begin by welcoming an old friend, a past regular at WinterStar from the very first one: Robert Anton Wilson! Author of 30 books, both fiction and non-fiction, Bob is an editor, humorist, Esalen lecturer and guerilla ontologist with an avid interest in religion, politics, and human behavior. His mammoth Illuminatus! trilogy, co-authored with Robert Shea, won the 1986 Prometheus Hall of Fame award, and was adapted as a ten-hour science fiction rock epic and performed under the patronage of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II at Great Britain's National Theatre, and his play William Reich in Hell has been performed at the Edmund Burke Theatre in Dublin. His workshop The Reality of Masks is an examination of art, forgery, and Magick that asks: How can you tell the dancer from the dance? How can you tell the forest from the trees? Subjects include: a fake painter, a fake documentary, the Priory of Sion (a possibly fake conspiracy), UMMO (an extra-terrestrial correspondence school?) and how Dublin codology became academic post-modernism. And in Everything is Under Control, take a scary romp through the "Cultic Twilight" werein all conspiracies dwell, as Wilson shares the results of decades of research into the hidden activities of secret societies, both real and imagined, as chronicled in his latest book Everything is Under Control, an encyclopedia of conspiracy theories.
