Admission and Traffic

After arriving at Starwood 25, your VEHICLE ID TAG must be visible in your car which you'll park across Bailey Hill Road in the Parking Area immediately after you unload. Merchant vehicles on-site must be approved by Starwood Staff, and should be left there until Sunday afternoon or departure. STAFF TRAFFIC ONLY in the camping area from 1-9 AM.

Admission will be closed each night between 12AM and 9AM. Plan to arrive outside these hours or contact us to make prior arrangements.

Our parking area is located at the front of the site. Vehicles must be parked there once unloaded. If your vehicle absolutely must stay on site, a $15 fee to Brushwood MUST be paid when you check in.

Camping Considerations

The Brushwood Folklore Center, our festival site, is 180 acres of majestic woodlands and rolling meadows, with a large pond and center island. This amazing site keeps growing and changing! In addition to the beautiful pool pavilion with its spacious hot tub and hot showers, Downtown Brushwood now includes merchants galore, a 16 hour food court, a mini hardware store and other structures. Additional hot showers and flush toilets at the Bath House add to our comfort.

This is a semi-developed camping facility (no RV hook-ups). Sorry, NO DOGS are allowed at Starwood.

Bring safe lighting sources and grills or campstoves if you plan to cook. Don't leave candles, grills, etc. unattended. Firepits are OK, but must be filled in before leaving. NO fires in the woods without prior permission from Brushwood.

There are many wooded areas for shady camping, but the windy field requires sturdy camping equipment. Leave the cheap dining flies and thin aluminum poles at home, they will get destroyed quickly...

What to Bring:
For many, this list could be endless, for others, minimalism is the rule. Most of us fall in the middle somewhere. For a well thought out list of "things", check out the following websites:

What not to Bring:
Besides weapons and other things illegal in the State of New York, we're pretty open. Be adult, be safe. Starwood is one week of the year, so please do not bring long standing grudges, animosity and excessive "attitude". Surely we can all agree to leave these things behind?
